ALL FLYWHEELS FROM 2 LITRE DIESEL ENGINES - 1958 to 1961
- 3 Different types of FLYWHEELS - see photo's
- Some have 2 Dowels
- some have 3 Dowels
- All 3 Different Types are different thicknesses!

According the Parts Book dated 1960 - SII & SIIA engine Part Numbers are:-
- 2 Litre Diesel 247167 - 2 Dowel - 231759
- 2 1/4 Diesel 516082   - 2 Dowel - 231759
- 2 Litre Petrol 272661 - 2 Dowel - 502116
- 2 1/4 Petrol 247991   - 2 Dowel - 502116

Whilst I believe that the 2 1/4 Diesel engine, I assume when it changed to 5 Bearing Crank Shaft changed to a 3 Dowel Fly Wheel ?

And I think I remember someone once telling me that Newer Diesel Flywheels can be fitted to the early 2 Litre Diesel Engine as they are better ?

I'd be grateful for any information on the Flywheels and the differences, thanks

Then I can decide which to keep, thanks
