Hi all,
Having visited the club stand at the NEC at the weekend (which was very good), it projected me into "restoration mode" of Deloris, my 66 plate 88". Ive owned her for 10 years and rather embarrassingly only managed part strip down !!, but now is the time !. Armed with only the V5 & the vehicle itself, I ordered the heritage certificate and it arrived yesterday, everything seems plausible :-

"D" plate on reg
Vin surfix C
First registered 23/07/1966
Build date 27/06/1966
Despatched 14/07/1966

The problem is the make & model is "Land Rover Series 111 88 Inch"

How can it be a series 3 ?

Although the outside and most of the inside has been repainted over the years, the bits that are behind panels such as where the clocks are ect is red, which considering the heritage certificate shows that it was a royal mail vehicle as new.

Can anyone throw some light on this please

I suspect Richard or Emily at Gaydon have merely made a transposition error. They did on one of my certificates. Give them a ring and ask for a reprint. In the meantime if you message me your chassis number, I can run it by the club database and then you'll be able to mention me confirming it to them. I sit next to them once a week at the moment.
