Hi All,

I need to replace all my side lights, indicators, brake lights etc. can anyone recommend somewhere where I can get period correct ones from, and if possible, what period correct ones are, plastic, glass, shape etc. Not sure the broken ones on it today were original. Looking to replace whole units, not just the lense. It's for. 1965 2a Swb.

Thanks

Paul.

Tom

Best bet for currently available ones yet period correct would be lucas ones. The L488s have flat glass lenses, while the L594 are the domed lenses.  Either would look 'right' for the year.

Originally it may have been fitted with sparto lamps, but these are pretty hard to come by now.

Tom

I personally prefer the L488 flat lenses myself.

Uffddd

Emberton imperial sell sets of various styles of side, indicator and tail lights. Not cheap but it's a one stop shop at least.

I'd agree with Tom.
My Feb 1965 build SW has its original Sparto lights still fitted. They all need replacing, but I've built up a complete set now for the rebuild.
There are some quite good replicas of the side lights and indicators now, but the stop/tail light is a bit more challenging. There were two sizes and mine are the larger ones. Drop me a pm if you want more detail.

Think it will be the L488 set for Emberton.

Hi Paul,

Following your post I had a look at my spare SPARTO light Assys and found 1 Pair of NOS SPARTO - Front / Rear Amber Indicators – Assy 62406 - Lens 62402-2 Rubber Boots 2304 & with new Bulb holders & Bulbs.   - See Photo.

If these are any good to you please send me a message, thanks

Thank you @2DieselMan .
I think as I need to replace the whole set, will probably get the set from Emberton, to keep them all the same.

Thank you anyway, much appreciated.
