Sorry, no axle photos on my phone so I'll get you some at the weekend.

There is a S1 Cuthbertson amongst the many exhibits at the REME museum Lyneham - it's with the big boys toys (tanks etc) in the oversize collection hanger across the airfield. We had an organised visit with the RREC courtesy of Lord Arbothnott (of the PO scandal exposee fame). Started on the Roadless Traction. Got the rear body mostly complete, just needs the mudguards sorting and the rear lamps drilling for position. The front end is getting there. I need to sort the axle ends and hub/swivel arrangement which will need scratch building along with the steering gear. I haven't even started the interior and the exterior still needs to lot of detail adding before paint.

I've decided to build mine using the Dunsfold ex-CEGB example as it looks more unusual with the front lamp and winch arrangement.

Thanks to all for pics and particularly to William who kindly sent me lots of pics of the underside of his 1:1 scale vehicle! 👍🏻👍🏻

Don't forget about the SWB cuthburtson that turned up at the CLASSIC LAND ROVER SHOW a couple of years ago.  I was privileged to be able to sit in it but unfortunately never got chance to have a drive

Thats looking great so far!
The interior of the cab is pretty much identical to a normal series except for a large brake fluid reservoir and the brake master cylinder peaking through the bulkhead.
