How come it's MOT exempt with the non Land Rover engine?
Series 3 Owner but interested in all real Land Rovers.

But it was fitted more than 30 years ago Alan!! but only in his dreams.

Chassis mods for mounting engine, gearbox and power steering.

A definite case of buyer beware.

Just the engine wouldn't be a problem, but brakes, steering, gearbox. . .

Is it not really just another form of hedge find, requiring someone with really deep pockets to rescue the poor Land Rover beneath!

Not sure where I can even start to comment on that......
What a monstrosity...

Wonder what the chassis number is.

Craig.

It's got a reasonable MOT history. Cylinder capacity is not shown on the DVLA website.

Impressive from an engineering perspective, but I can't see anything on that vehicle apart from a few body parts which relate to the original 1963 registration.

I'll ask, but I suspect the question alone will be a red flag to someone who's done that to it!

Samurai Engineering used to offer that engine with a fitting kit for old Range Rovers. Never seen one in a Series though. The power and torque was extraordinary. We watched one converted Rangie take part in tractor pulling. God but the noise!

I know that in the defender world the Cummins 6BT is often fitted and I know of a S2B forward control fitted with the Cummins minus turbo.  It goes up Shap at 70mph
