Did I mention my RAF posting to Hickam Field, (Pearl Harbour) earlier?

I'm sure I did mention it, but now I can't find it.

Co-incidence ... I've just seen that the film PEARL HARBOUR will be on TV in about 15 to 20 minutes. Possibly only on SKY. It's a film worth watching, especially for me ... I was scheduled to spend 12 months there, at HICKAM FIELD, but that was thwarted by having TB. The doctors, and XRAY, lied! Three weeks in bed, and I was pronounced cured, but somebody else got my posting to HICKAM FIELD on Honolulu.

Still never mind, somebody at RAF Headquarters liked me, so I got a two year posting with the Ozzies at RAAF Butterworth. I doubt that the lovely "Postings Clerk" realised just how quickly I could arrange to marry Barbara. Two years living on Penang Island, and she still says I never take her anywhere.

Hmmm! Married for 58 years, and I've been a "kept man" for 38 of those years. I ain't complaining.
