Took it out for a paint touch up today and found there's a minuscule leak in the bottom of the oil bath air filter. It's otherwise fine, and I'd hate to replace it, so I was wondering if anyone had any advice as to the best way to fill it? My first thoughts were to use the epoxy metal putty I have laying about.

I normally weld or braise those sorts of holes up. Might be worth trying some epoxy putty (JB Weld?).

Solder with a regular soldering iron, but you must get it meticulously clean first.

I have soldered leak off rail pipes to banjos on diesel engines.
