Hi
My bonnet bounces a lot over sharp bumps. Exacerbated by the wheel on the bonnet
How do we all feel about the addtional spring loaded side catches? Ok or absolute no no? Think they were fitted to military vehicles
Opinions?
Thanks
Steve

Catches, part number MRC5314 were fitted on military vehicles. If you like the look of them, fit them, it's your vehicle.

If the bonnet can move up & down on the centre latch, it could well need the centre pin screwing in to take out the play so that it is held firmly down

as above, theres quite a lot of adjusting in the bonnet latch

the bonnet catch part on the front panel can be moved around a bit for a better catch too

Mine bounced, even with the tire on it.  Ended up adjusting the latch center pin as has been suggested - Bob's your uncle.

Now... if you really want some bonnet catches there are some rather stylish alternatives.  The ones pictured below are a bit pricey though at about $142US.
