Fairey Overdrives and ....
« on: June 03, 2020, 11:47:09 PM »

I spent today what I thought was an enjoyable couple of hours ( 4 ) rebuilding a Fairey overdrive for a socially distanced friend when my wife came into my garage and said ...........

For *&%^$ sake I've been waiting all day for you to go shopping and your still here messing with bits of L/R rust  !!!

Don't you realise there are more important things than Land Rovers .............

Gotta laugh when I asked what could be more important.

Well like a lamb I went to the slaughter ( Lidl ) and after returning and washing down the purchases in dilute bleach I managed to get back to finishing off the overdrive while my wife watched Emmerdale followed by Coronation Street !!

Given that this is a Coronavirus Lockdown section of the Forum can I ask if others have similar experiences
