I recall reading somewhere that the Dutch military had a large stock of 6.00 bar-grips so insisted on using them on their fleet of diesel Lightweights. These vehicles had a whole raft of problems, some of which were put down to being driven on these "small" tyres ...the original UK fitting being 6.50 "Xtra Grips".    Personally I can't see that small distance in diameter would have a big effect. Any of our Dutch members able to provide any more info ?

( ...and I think I remember seeing a pic of some UK lightweights on bar-grips too ?)
