My experience is that they drive at 35-37 everywhere, no matter what the speed limit (20, 30, 40, 50, & 60). If you are stuck behind one, when you get to the 30 limit, they disappear off into the distance. Do they ever get caught for speeding? I don't know. I know I soon catch up with them again once the 40 limit is passed.

Exactly my experience, but round here its Honda Jazz drivers.  :-X

Hi,

Our "place in France" was surrounded by a farm. There was usually a river of "Eau de Vache" running from the barn, and down the public road.

Luckily it found it's way into a stream before it reached our front door.

The 40 everywhere people I call them they are common round here, They also have a habit of finding the most dangerous blind bends to over take bikes round as another lovable trait.

They must have slowed down a bit recently.  When I lived near Stafford in 1988/9 I called them 45ers.  They drove everywhere at 45mph: in the 30, 40, 50, 60 and 70mph speed limit areas.  With all the faults mentioned above too.

I live in a touristy valley 1 road lengthwise, 1 lane each direction, 2 million people live on the other side of the hill(San Jose) and they come here and ogle the redwoods and do 20-25 in the corners when it is a 35 mph road. Then there are the motor bikers, Ricky Racer's, passing on the double yellow often in a blind curve 2-3 bike accidents Sat-Sun.

Hi Geno,

I have been over taken by a bike on the M4. I was in the outside lane at the time.

I've also seen a biker try to kick in Barbara's off-side head lamp. She was doing 50mph at the time. He was probably doing the same in the opposite direction.  :agh
