General Discussion / Are they sure ?
Last post by Theshed - May 14, 2024, 08:04 PM
Not LandRover related at all. I don't think. But I read this headline on the Automotive news website and am quite concerned by it.

'Europe-U.S. JV to recycle EV batteries in Poland, central Germany'

So it's a US based publication commenting on European Automotive News.
Have they really put Poland into Germany ?!

Sorry I over done the font.

I am correct in saying the springs sit directly under the shock mount bracket so I would need to weld a bracket and the rectangular plate on the bottom for the spring to sit on?

Would it be simpler to ship an axle casing over to you? May not be a completely crazy thought. If its a standard Rover LWB axle casing, I could dig one out for you.

Wouldn't bother with PC World unless you really desperate, they will charge U £££.
As Diffwhine suggests, try Ebay. The charger recently went on our old Camcorder, charger complete with camcorder cost £23 off Ebay.  :cheers-man
Look for same make and model, take your time, chances are one will pop up.

And finally, our local BBC Radio station holds sessions to help people of all ages get the most out of 'technology'.
May be worth checking for anything similar in your neck of the woods.

Hi, it's not just the shocks that are different, the spring mounts sit further out.

Chassis Number is: 146901115

Engine Number is:  146901730

(I can give you gearbox and both axle numbers as well, if you want!  :))  )

Cheers Exile - I'd love to have the gearbox and axle numbers if you have those.

Funnily enough, we already have your info, but I'm happy to check it on Friday if you like. I'll send you a message...

General Discussion / 2a 109 axle brackets for shock...
Last post by Oldhamsaints - May 14, 2024, 06:33 PM
Hi, new member located in Alabama USA.
I have purchased a 1966 (best guess) series 109. I say purchased, it is a chassis (#25402958a) in good condition, a rotted bulkhead and a few body panels. I also have axles from an 88". I believe the front axle will work on the 109 but the rear needs the brackets for the shocks.
Looking for either information on where to purchase said brackets or the dimensions for the brackets so I can fabricate and weld them on.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Once your email account is set up on your chosen device, there should be no need to enter passwords or usernames ever again ( until you get a new PC or Laptop). Get a youngster to sort it out.
