Mine arrived today. The postal delivery now has vastly improved since our MP got involved.
The chairman's new photo is a lot less scary than the previous one.  He no longer looks like someone on Interpol's most wanted list.

I have mine as well.
I have just blown up the picture of the chairman to keep the cats off the garden.

OK OK I get the hint...

I'll get a decent photo done.

I always seem to look like I'm going to the gallows in all my photos.

There's nothing wrong with the current one, it was the previous one that looked like a mugshot from Interpol.

I haven't received it yet, so haven't seen the new photo!

Amazing Alan - normally you get yours weeks after I get mine!

It's improved so much I've taken out a subscription for the Radio Times to be delivered by post.  It saves a fortune this way. When there were problems last year I had 4 issues delivered "in arrears" all out of date and on the same day so it was cancelled.

If I'm not mistaken (and I often am) the top right picture of the engine on p28 of summer B2L features what looks like a twin choke Weber fitted to 90/110's. That would make the engine an early 90/110  2.3 before the 2.5 or do  I need another eye test!

No it isn't the awful 32/34DTML Weber, as fitted to early 2.3 petrol One Tens and Ninetys.

These have a flow and return pipe to the carb.

(The early carb has the two pipes going into a Y shaped inlet/outlet union. Later versions have the pipes going in parallel).

Only a single pipe in the photo in B2L

Arrived a couple of days ago, but not read. I notice it advertises Classic Land Rover. I haven't seen it in any shoos locally.  Is it worth a buy?

Alan Drover

I've a subscription to CLR. It does vary so buy before try.

I've had a look under a magnifying glass and I can see the obvious. The throttle linkage is the standard set up not the cable operated one of the Weber but I don't recognise the carburettor as a standard fitment. Can anyone enlighten me?

Hello everyone, just found the post, its my vehicle in the artice the carb is a Zenith, it has "36W 1A2" (C1585) stamped on the casing... Its a Series 2 but with a Series 3 petrol 2,25 engine, I  bought it like it, I have no idea if the carb was orignal from the Series 2 or from something else...... when I got it there was a piece of hose with a bolt in the end attched to the adaptor plate..... I  rebuilt the complete throttle linkage back to standard but the carb is pretty much as I got it .... I  did get rid of the hose and bolt and fitted a bolt...  Regards Pete

I've been right through my Zenith catalogue and the vehicles that used your carburettor are as follows:
Ford Zephyr and Zodiac MK2. 1957/62.
Humber Hawk 1957/60.
Humber Hawk Mk 2 1961/66.
Sunbeam Rapier Mk 3 1959/61 (2 carburettors on this car).
The catalogue lists all the parts numbers for these carburettors like floats, throttle spindles etc. Whether they're available is another matter but BFS would know. I can give you part numbers if you need them, just drop me a PM
