Not about Series LRs, so forgive me all you purists!

If you wander over to Channel 91 on Freeview you should find a daily safari (morning and sunset) filmed live from a 4x4 in African game reserves. The filming is done from the back of the vehicle, and they look like Land Rovers to me, but you may have to confirm.
Lots of lions, leopards, elephants and hippos as well of course.
The vehicles have fold flat windscreens and no side windows, and the drivers seem unperturbed by lions and leopards walking right by!

Not the best Film but Anyone But You is a 'Romcom' that features three Series.
The appearance woke me up and elicited a SCHUSH ! from SWMBO. 😉

What about the one that shoved a Sunbeam Alpine into the river in "The Long Good Friday?"

Wasn't that the LWB SW in Get Carter - later seen in the film as a police vehicle in the house/party raid towards the end of the film ???

Yes, that was the film I meant. Got them mixed up. I've got both on DVD but haven't seen them for ages.
Then of course there's Vera's automatic Defender 90 and the black crew cab Defender that "Elvis" in Wheeler Dealers drives.

As much as I like seeing series land rovers, there is no way I could myself through the misery of watching a rom com! I think you should watch it again and advise us all of the times in the film that they're on to save us all the pain!

Midsomer Murders features quite a variety of Land Rovers from Series 1's through to Defenders and most are still on the road now.

My 2003 Defender was on one of the Christmas specials, seen a few times since.

What about the BBC series 'Last tango in Halifax'  Nicola Walker's character  suposedly changed the clutch in her Land Rover Just by opening the bonnet. :shakinghead The same vehicle was eventually set on fire and got destroyed!

In an episode of Midsomer Murders a 90 station wagon rolled down an embankment. When I checked that one was currently taxed and MOTd.

I watched a 1989 episode of Inspector Morse this afternoon which featured an LWB Series 3 THV 254S. DVLA records show the tax expired 2008. The 2 MOT's on the record show that it passed.

Why  ???

Many people are opting out of this tax. You'll only get jailed if you are female.
The BBC should adopt a subscription (opt in) model.
