I am looking to purchase a few tool rolls for my 1960 Series 2s and have seen many different versions online but the question is....which shape, material and colour were the original ones?

Are they still available?

Thank you in advance for any replies.

I can't answer to the colour, but I suspect they were just "ordinary" khaki tilt colour.

This is the shape, but no measurements as given in the WSM.

(the colouring is my invention)

Here is an Exmoor Trim reproduction ...

As bought at the Club's Warwick rally 2014 at their trade stand.
A bit bright, after 10 years or so they do fade a bit.

The original tool roll was black hessian type material, either oiled or plasticised, not sure which.
Here's a picture of the tool roll and contents which were supplied with our 11a in 1965

The spanner's are TW brand and the tyre pressure gauge has the Tover badge engraved on it.
Also supplied is a black Sutty stirrup style pump, Jack and handle and starting handle.

Later tool rolls were plastic in black. Not sure when it changed from black hessian material.  Possibly part No. stayed the same

What may not be so well known is that they were still supplying the stirrup pump as standard, many years later.

I don't think he made it back yet. I keep telling him he is missing out.
