I'm going to gaydon today with the girlfriend, anyone know any hardcore gaydon relevant Land Rover facts/stories I can use to impress her?

Is she interested in Land Rovers? You could be boring the pants off her with countless facts. I wouldn't bother, if she asks a question you can't answer just admit it.

When you see the tracked Land Rover, point out the hinges are upside down.

Impress her ?

Take her for a rough ride off-road and see if she enjoys it.

If she does she is a keeper and worth the effort otherwise ...

Well otherwise .. Lol !!

You can show her how quickly you can make £8 can disappear - just order a sandwich and coffee at the café

I noticed the upside down hinges on the Cuthbertson straight away as well.

Thanks all for your facts and advice, she was definitely impressed by the rivets. We had a fantastic time at the museum and didn't even get to see half the stuff there. She's definitely a keeper and happy to listen to me talk about land rovers for literally hours. We don't have to share all the same hobbies to enjoy eachothers excitement about them.

Didn't work for me.

The then wife and step-daughter came to Gaydon with me (I was driving a RR Classic, towing another one on a trailer) in June 2010, to celebrate the 30th Aniversary of the launch of the Range Rover.

I bought her a meal in the motorway Services on the way back.

She didn't seem very impressed.

The fact it was also her birthday, probably didn't help....... :thud

Fret not ! She simply wasn't good enough for you ... Lol !
