If you find the owner and he/she isn't a club member then enrol them.

Photo sent to me from queue to Great Yorks Show. Supposedly all original, but for rear door off 'Heartbeat' LR.

Spotted a nice cream S2 with the headlamps in the radiator grille yesterday, towing a caravan up the M74 North through near Beattock or thereabouts. Truck cab I think it was. I was going South in a boring white estate car, many lanes across, so couldn't wave. Sorry.

One would hope its Hampshire CC doing a training exercise! If not, its time to man the lifeboats.

#127
Coming back from Pamber End near Basingstoke today I went round the back roads and at Wootton St. Lawrence while approaching a T junction on the upright of the T, a multi coloured open top Series went  along the top of the T with a couple of youngsters sitting on the wheeboxes in the back. I waved as I turned on to that road and they waved back. Unfortunately they were going the opposite way.

This lot arrived at the pub today. They are part of the carnival procession. All scratch built, 3 Foden based and 1 Marshall.
The heady aroma of coal smoke as good as EP90.
Absolutely superb engineering, the movement of the exposed moving parts is a sight to behold. Quiet and no electronic junk in sight.

Seen yesterday on the A30 heading east towards Bodmin. A green,  lights in grille, patinated S2, top off, door tops off, 4 on board cruising away from Cornwall. Looked good, couldn't see the number for the other traffic streaming out in euroboxes.

Spotted at the Canyon Roadhouse in southern Namibia. Was tempted to make an offer on it and drive it home but for some reason 'management' didn't share my enthusiam...

Tempting...
I see its a left hand drive. I wonder where it came from? Angola possibly I suppose.

If it were really nice, I'd have done my usual trick of throwing it in a container and sending it back from Walvis Bay. That one is possibly a bit too far gone. I bet there's no rust on it though.

It is remarkably intact if in need of considerable tlc; it's actually about 20% buried too, which doesn't help. I would say it's more likely from South Africa given the location in Fish River Canyon. Cool place to camp if anyone is ever in the area!

I shipped a 2.8i Defender back from there a few years ago....but they seem to have cottoned on to us these days!
