Thankyou Littlelegs, for your help. May I ask another photo of your near side flexi to rigid bracketry please, the view from the top of the n/s front tyre looking inwards towards the chassis? TIA

Are you painting it one panel/section at a time, Oddjob? Looks like a very high quality finish on the wing fronts.

No it's been half and half for many years. The front wing looks better than the rest because I replaced it recently but the green parts of it were just brush painted on the street!
One day I'll paint the whole thing but it'll have to wait until we move somewhere with a driveway.

I'm rebuilding my '71 109 onto a new chassis and running the new brake lines.
Need the junction from the old girl so wings, radiator and front panel came off today.

I reckon that lightweight has travelled further on trailers in the last few years than it did in service on the road with the MOD...

Nice to see it finally settled. Hope you are too! Enjoy Devon!

Started her up after sitting for months took a few turns then fired and ran okay, warmed up and ticked over nicely, will have a run out in a few days. :RHD
As I said, took a few turns, could that be because the petrol may have siphoned back through the fuel pump? If it lies that long again I'll tickle the pump a little to see if that makes a difference.  ???

I think it was this week thirty one years ago we went down to near Jedburgh in the Borders to pick up the Landie.

Went to a nice Landrover event at Compton Abbas Airfield, in my Series 1, as the 11a is still resting.
Good mix of vehicles including a Llama and a very nice ex garage '59 series 11.
A few planes coming and going, including a bi plane.

Opened up a tin of Limestone, you know the one with factory added orange peel and runs, and lashed it on in the breeze. Passing bees and flys got sprayed as well. A painter I am not, not enough patience, but it will pass a casual glance at 10 feet

Okay maybe make that 20 feet.....and at night.  :cool

Stevie Wonder would be proud if you...

I spent hours meticulously preparing and painting 5 wheel rims. All ready to fit five new tyres.

I then dropped a Defender radius arm on one of them... Made a lively loud clang, but didn't half mess up my paintwork.

Gave up, had a tantrum so went off the the Atwell - Wilson Motor Museum's Classic Car open day instead.

Sploshed a bit paint and bashed some letters/numbers into the club plaque I bought a few years ago. They really are quite good. Got them from the club shop.

Great from far but far from great?

It's OK, no one will notice when you're whizzing by at eyewatering speeds 😂
